Columbus’ Concrete Pumping Specialists for Decades

Concrete Pumps — A Worker Pouring Concrete In Columbus, OH
In April of 1971 the company founder James C Kirkwood came to Columbus, Ohio with a pickup truck and small trailer mounted concrete pump and a hug desire to provide a better way to place concrete where it is needed regardless of the terrain or building layout.

Trying to change the way central Ohio contractors had been placing concrete for years was not going to be easy. By demonstrating the new method of placing concrete they could see firsthand how it would be precise, save manpower and money and foremost provide a safer workplace for the crew.
With the purchase of our first boom pump in October of 1971, placing concrete became even more cost effective for the contractor. Although pumping concrete may be an additional cost to the project, it may actually save you money in the long run. Using the right size pump for the right job (i.e. walls, slabs, retaining walls, bridge decks, or super highways) can save time, labor and materials.
Jim’s dedication to the concrete construction industry has not diminished. What started out as a one man operation has grown to a company that has 17 employees and 16 concrete pumps, ranging from a 58 Meter down to a small line pump. 1-Conveyor and 2 sets of line dragons in our fleet of equipment.
We are very proud of our staff, from the mechanic who maintains and service our concrete pumps daily, to our highly trained and experienced concrete pump operators, and the management team that keeps everything running smoothly like a fine tuned engine, for making this company what it is today. In this day, the key word is “SERVICE” in any organization. We are a team and try very hard to give our customers 110%. I am confident that we will serve your needs in the most professional manner.
